March themes, shares, and encouragements

Hello Sweets!

Anyone else marveling that April is upon us! I send you the best thoughts of Spring, blossoms and sprouts and delicious tilling of the soil.

This month I wanted to try something different which was to look back on the month of March and share some of the themes that were shared in sessions and in life.

I have shared with many of you that on Mondays I sit with myself and my ancestors and have a little supplication/prayer/sweet time that I pull some cards for the week, write down some words that are coming through and do some prayers for me, my family, for y’all and for the collective. This is not a to do list time–I do have those times as well, but this is my spiritual self care space.

Aaaannnddd, then I get the privilege of meeting with you all during the week and the cards, the words, the themes begin to take shape and practicality. I love, love, love learning from others and it has been my experience in almost 2 decades of this work that we are not alone in this work and it is uncanny, delightful, special to see the similar themes that run throughout everyone’s lives. It’s an honor to witness and often I want to gather y’all in a room so we can remember just that…oh, you are on track sweets, nope you aren’t out of your rocker on that one, it may just be the energy of the week/month/year, yes, yes, yes, the work you are doing is so damn important!

So, this is my homage to this month and the themes I so humbly got to explore with y’all. I even made a video of it because it was just too juicy to not share verbally (and you know she be a verbal processor)!

Learn how you learn, grow how you grow. You are not alone.

Themes for March (and some heading into April)

  • You do you boo, even when it’s hard, especially when it is hard.
  • You doing you does not have to step on anyone else doing them, in fact, it may just encourage someone to do the same for themselves.
  • Express yourself in a way that feels safe to your nervous system (psssttt, that may be uncomfortable….we don’t want dysregulation, but some uncomfortability can equal the best of growth times).
  • With the systematic assault on bodily autonomy, trans rights, and queer rights, it is a time to examine the need to always show and perform ‘productive’ advocacy and to explore the ways YOU resist in your authentic, beautiful soul.
  • Don’t get me wrong sweets, write your letters, contact the people, donate money, get loud, get a moving. I’m also reminding you that we can explore resistance in the most delightful of ways.
  • Some of the ways I have heard….expression in makeup and clothing (especially those that unlearn gender norms, or defy those norms, and even those that have been resisted because they felt imposed on a person even though the person liked it to begin with).
  • What expression do you choose, in what form, on what day? Can you change your mind? Can you be ok with not being defined?
  • Another theme, being extra and that is ok, more than ok because you also give a whole damn lot.
  • And lastly, labels in themselves are not bad or good (we don’t really do bad/good in this family, or we try not to) but rather a way to be understood, to be known. Can you be ok with letting a label be a way to be known and also embrace that you are full of mystery? Because mystery is actually a form of a regulated nervous system y’all, being distant or cold…not so much, there’s a difference and we all are worthy of knowing how the difference feels.

As always, you are not alone, your healing impacts my healing, impacts our healing, impacts the world!

All my Love,
Amy
